Finding Beauty in the Shift to Fall
By Dagmar – wrapped in wool, warmed by coffee, inspired by change
The weather is changing. You can feel it in the mornings, where the air is cooler, the light softer, and the skies a little more unpredictable. Summer is quietly slipping away, and autumn is stepping forward.
Now, let me be honest — I’m not a fan of the damp, gray days that this season so often brings. Humidity settles heavy into my bones, and rainy skies can feel endless. But there’s another side to autumn, one I’ve learned to cherish: the beauty of layering, both in style and in life.

Wrapped in Warmth
Where summer was all about soft, flowing dresses and bare feet, autumn invites me back into jeans, boots, and the embrace of thick, cozy wools. Sometimes I’ll even wrap myself in a blanket, warm drink in hand, and laugh at how much joy these simple rituals bring. My beloved cowboy boots make their seasonal return, too — proof that comfort is always in fashion.

Textures That Soothe
I’ve always been drawn to natural materials, and this season gives me every excuse to lean into them. Wool scarves, knitted sweaters, and layers of linen and cotton all add softness to the chill outside. Just as I layer interiors with throws and rugs, I layer myself with fabrics that feel like a second home.

“Today’s styling: my trusted Adidas Handball Specials in warm brown, paired with linen beige striped flared pants — casual comfort with a timeless touch.
Colors That Transform
And then there’s the light. When the rain pauses and the sun breaks through, the world bursts into golds, oranges, and russets so vivid they take my breath away. It’s as if nature is reminding us: change may feel heavy at times, but it’s also astonishingly beautiful.
So while autumn will never be my favorite season (my bones don’t let me forget it), it does hold a kind of magic. The layering, the textures, the glow of color — all of it is a gentle reminder that we can always find beauty, even in the shift.

And maybe, in this new chapter that’s waiting just around the corner, I’ll be carrying these golden shades with me in ways I can’t wait to share.
With love,
Dagmar
